    and i need one cheap and i kinda need it to be one that you hold like a guitar,
    anyone who can point me in that direction??

    You won't get a keytar cheap, they're vintage gear at this stage and command the prices expected of such. Why in gods name do you need a keytar anyways? Tell us what your needs and budget are and I can recommend something.

    IIRC, I paid about £300 stg, but I sold it about 2 years ago as I never really used it.

    Be advised, these keytars are not synthesizers - they are MIDI controllers, so you will need either a MIDI enabled keyboard, rack mounted synth module or a VST with a MIDI interface.

    The AX-7 is pretty cool lots of decent functions for you left hand - the touch ribbon is programmable too and the D-Beam is pretty nifty.

    anyway that roland would be pretty perfect as i've found a synth that i love to death, we'll see how this plays out, i'll report back at some stage, so beautiful.
