Interpol's new single

I've listened the new single from Interpol (one of my fav bands) on Phantom, I think it's too similar to Slow Hands....I am a little bit disappointed, but I hope the rest of the album is great and moving to new directions because I don't need another copy of the previous 2...I have already the Editors when I want to listen to an "interpol sound-alike"

have you listened the song? what do you think?

Yeah I have heard most of the song. It could have come straight off Antics I suppose. It didn't make a huge impression on me first time around but I'll give it a chance. Looking forward to hearing more from the new album.

I like it but your right it is a bit samey. They are still gonna be one of my favourite bands of all time even if the album is simaler. The problem will be that Banks's voice is so distinctive that anything they ever do will always remind you of bright lights and antics. I hope they are gonna move in new and interesting directions. Maybe this was just a safe choice as first single from the record company. Im probably one of the few people who has come to the conclusion that Antics is the better album. Hopefully this will be even better.

To be honest, I was hoping for something that was classic Interpol, and this is. I've only heard a live version, but I was quite impressed.

I haven't heard it yet but am looking forward to it. Apparently, a lot of poor quality videos of their new songs have been posted to youtube fromrecent gigs in Canada and America that are of poor quality.

I've heard the proper version and I love it. It's no great departure, in fact I find it a little like C'mere off the last album but it has a great pace to it.

Great gig there recently, very brooding performance. They are well polished live. All the classics from the last two albums and 4 from the new one. Very easy to spot the torrent users (me included) singing along to songs on an album not yet released here. It was just getting dark, lighting was deadly too.

that was class live that time i saw last week at some place i forget the name of.
