Any Kerry contributors know where I can get a pressed number plate - silver on black in this corner of the country.

Below are pictures of my recently bought MR2 MK1. It's from 1985 so I must pay the dreaded VRT on Fri. Will be getting an 85 KY XXXX plate. Was thinking of getting black plates with raised silber digits. What type of plates would suit the car?

If you want to have a 'period (Ireland) 1985' look to the car, I'd suggest that you go for either -

    1. Black and Silver plastic plates front and rear, or
    2. White and black (front), red and black (rear).

If you go for option two - you could go for either plastic plates, or metal plates with plastic digits attached, both of which would be appropriate to the period.

However, either MUST have large digits to look the part.

I have a few names of Irish suppliers at home if you want them (I'm not there til this weekend), or you could contact Steve frampton in the UK www.pl8s.couk ...I believe he can now also supply red rear plates.
