Just wondering what sites people use to get their memory and if anyone has got caught by customs ?
I'm looking to get a 2Gb SanDisk Compact Flash card (either a Ultra II or an Extreme III)

Also the memory is for a fujifilm s9600 would it make any difference getting the faster Extreme III for this camera, I'll probally be getting a 2Gb fujifilm card thrown in (write speed 6Mb/sec) would I be better off trying to change this for a 1Gb of the above

    Thanks

no need to worry about customs england is cheap enough to buy memory from. post a request in the bargain alerts section. biz > consumer > bargain alerts

edit: a 2gb hi speed card should be under €40. check out www.7dayshop.co.uk

7dayshop for memory alright. 2Gb Sandisk Ultra II for €16.49, which is hard to beat. Avoid E-Bay, there're a lot of fake cards out there, and at these prices, why bother to save a couple of euros?

7 day shop works out around €30.00 for the 2 Gig ultra - i don't think you'll get it cheaper than that.

    :)

I'd be cautious about buying memory from ebay. Most of the memory i looked at last week on ebay.co.uk appeared to be counterfeit. (The prices where of course too good to be true).

Lots of websites out there to help spot fakes like here or do a search.

I ended up buying from 7dayshop.

Well blow me up a baloon.. Mines a fake.

Contacted ebay and paypal. Sent mails to the last 5 people that bought a 4gb card off him with links to pages to help spot fakes..

The guy I got it off has over 1000 positive feedbacks... I did think the card was a bit slow at writing, considering its meant to be one of their fastest..
