I keep getting the following result when running a full scan on my PC(Windows XP) with AVG.

4kkqbn4.png

Googling reports that Windows Automatic Update can change some system files so perhaps the result is ok  .
Is this normal or is it something I should check out further?

Thanks a lot for the tip as i just found 2 Trojans after a scheduled scan with AVG AV today & to see that as well & i honestly thought it had something to do with the Trojans-pesky varmints
but that part is sorted now, as for the other Trojan what do you do with it as its non-healable, & infected back-up copy, do you just delete it as i think the other one was healed up automatically-i think

Also how do you post up screenshots on the page?

Thanks again.

I'm not sure how you post images on this site. Do this and we get rid of your trojans.

Please download the self-extracting version of HijackThis from here:

HijackThis_sfx download

Save HijackThis_sfx to your desktop.

Double-click the file then click the Unzip button. Then close the Self-Extractor window.

Using My Computer/Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\HijackThis and double click on HijackThis.exe to run it. If you would like to make a shortcut for your Desktop so it's more easily accessable, right click HijackThis.exe and choose Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).

Please run the extracted HijackThis.exe from now on. Delete any copies of HijackThis.zip that you have saved.

Open HijackThis and click Do a system scan and save a log file. Copy the entire contents of that log and post it here

standbyme, to post a screenshot or image, upload it to Imageshack or wthax.org or similar sites then use the tag with the location of your image. You can attach the file to the post either under Additional Options->Manage Attachments. e.g image.jpg

Thanks Ruu & ActorSeeksJob about the help :)

As this is my specs & should be/should have been ok ?

Windows XP version 5.1 SP2
AVG version 7.5.430 and virus db version 268.14.6/535
AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5
Ad-Aware SE Personal
Spybot-S&D
ZoneAlarm version:6.5.737.000

As that looks like some arsenal!

You should run AVG anti-spyware in Safe Mode if you detect any bad spyware on your pc.

You can also get rid of Ad-Aware and Spybot if you want. AVG anti-spyware is good enough by itself.

I recommend getting SpywareBlaster instead.

Also you could get a better firealarm than ZoneAlarm, Comodo is probably the best, Kerio and OutPost also good.

Yeah it was only word of mouth i got these installed, saying more the merrier! i was only happy to do so-until you hear different.
I recommend getting SpywareBlaster instead.

I forgot to add Spyware Blaster v3.51 to the list as i had them listed in a text folder for easy use, it was recommended in Spybot as well.

I had a look around the AVG Test Centre & found out the trojan had already been deleted->

Honestly if you had a trojan on your pc, there's a good chance you have more bad stuff. So I recommend pasting a HijackThis log here(like I said above), it can tell me a lot of stuff running on your pc.

To go into safe mode, you need to restart your pc, and as soon as you see the Windows logo, or after you hear a beep, keep pressing the F8 key, not too fast though, then a list of options should pop up letting you go into safe mode. It's always best to scan in safe mode if you have bad spyware on your pc as in normal mode you wont be able to remove some stuff.

A lot of people tend to use a few spyware scanners, but AVG anti-spyware is extremely good, throw in SpywareBlaster and there is no need for any other programs.

SpywareBlaster is excellent, I also recommend SpywareGuard by them which is easily one of the best anti-spyware guards imo.

What I use on my pc are AVG anti-spyware, SpywareGuard, SpywareBlaster, Kaspersky anti-virus(the best anti-virus but it's like $40 a year! ), and HijackThis. Have never had any bad spyware/viruses ever!!
