Would it be possible to sometime in the future transfer my current contract with 3, 20 euro a month bill phone, over to a USB modem?

I.E. pay the initial fee for the modem, but instead of starting a new contract, use the contract I already have.

Is this beyond the realms of possibility?

you could re phrase that saying would it be possible to go into a bmw dealer and ask him to swap your 99 mondeo for a shiny new 5 series......

answer would almost certainly be no.

They would class it as an upgrade so I'm sure you could at the end of the year or whatever. *

    *I'm just assuming.

as i understand it, you want to move your number to a mobile broadband contract in the middle of your current contract and see out the rest of your contract on the bb tariff with no calls and tests etc.

the answer would be no.as ciaranfo says, the only possibility would be when your year is up and then you could move and it would be classed as an upgrade.

edit:having said that, there's no technical reason it wouldn't be possible, only bureaucratic reasons so there's no harm in phoning customer care and asking. but ring a few times before you give up, they're really really stupid so just because they say something doesn't mean its right
