Havin seen a lot of these type of projects on Arnies I've decided to build one myself,
This is the basic starting plan
    Drum_Mag_Plan.jpg

The whole motor/servo thing to power the winder is pretty much built.A standard motor with 9v battery and a pressure switch to power it.
Any ideas or suggestions to improve the design?

Looks Nice. Maybe a larger Port for Filling. Your only gonna have one Drum so make it easy to fill.

    Paint it! :p

nah, looks like you have the design pretty well sorted, although now that i think of it, when you do paint it, leave a stripe that is see-through so you can tell how full the mag is.

It really Is a simple design , any highcap will do!
If you own a highcap , the total cost amounts to about 5euros.
