Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If one was to start an internet business, the website being the main form of income, would it be classified as an asset and thus a capital expense?

Intangible non current assets are generally only recognised and amortised if they are purchased externally, If they are internally generated they are not recognised.

So if you buy the website (pay for it to be built) it could be recognised.

Certain parts of website development cost could be capitalise. Its not true that all cost relating to developing website (for own use) are treated as profit and loss expenses.
