2nd level at the waterford open.

I pick up pocket 2's, 4 players limp.

    Flop Ac 9c 2x.

We all check to the buttom who makes it 350, one other caller and i raise to 1500. Button reraises to 4500. I have just under 10k behind and the button has me covered. Buttom has only been called down twice, each time with high pocket pairs.

    Push or Fold?

I push all day. He cant have Aces here (if he does he is a muppet)
If he has 99 its just a cooler (again you woul expect the button to raise these)
    A 9 or A 2?

Easy push. If its set over set, then so be it. I presume we can rule out AA as he would surely raise it from the button, especially with a few limpers. He might limp with 99 but again, its a cooler if so.

I think he could have A9, A2, AK too often to fold here.

Good man 58o, got there before me.

Yeah i agree with the lads. In a limped pot, you cant expect the button to have AA or 99 here so i'd jam it in and be 100% sure i'm ahead.

I let this one get away.

The button later told me he had 2 pair:mad:

what position are you in? you should lead the flop

i dont fold sets, especially on a fd board when its VERY unlikely he overlimped the oversets

You checked, looking for action I assume, you got it and you folded. In an unraised pot this is such an easy time to get your chips across the line. You are almost never behind. I think this is a bad fold but I think you know this already.

It was a bad fold, to be honest i thought he was drawing to the flush and didn't want to race so early. I felt my table was soft enough with only 3/4 good players and that i could out play most of the table.

On the first level of your deep stack tourney in the cow jp.

After I flopped bottom set i kept a pot relativley small and was beaten set over set as the cards were show you stood behind me and said "how the hell did you two not get it all in on the flop."

I ask the same question to you sir!

this would be an even more automatic push if there was a pair on the board.

    Hi JP,

I was the player in this hand,

It was folded to you on the CO you limp the button folded i was the SB we see a flop i bet 350 BB called and you reraise to 1500 then i reraise to 4500. But if you pushed again i would've folded it. I would've still had 11k
