Has anyone tried the Gmail mail-catcher as well as forwarding mail to your gmail, you can also use the mail-catcher to fetch mail from 5 accounts. But i've heard that its not available to all,

Anyone have any views-as it looks like a great device to use as it takes ages for mail to be forwarded, as this device leaves a copy on the server-while the other mail has been sent to you! :)

If it's Gmail Mail fetcher you're talking about then it's a feature of Gmail, not a device (if by device you mean a separate gizmo).
I use it and it works great and it also filters the spam before it puts it into your inbox.
It's available to everyone but sometimes your language settings prevent the feature being shown in your Gmail settings.
Log into your Gmail account and click on 'Settings' (Top left corner)
Click the 'General' tab and maks sure your language setting is set to 'English US' and not 'English UK'. Make the change if necessary and save changes at the bottom.
Then click the 'Acounts' tab and you'll see the option for 'Get mail from other accounts' and set it up from there.

If you'll pardon me with the terminology, i meant to say a handy addition to Gmail. Yeah i noticed that it will label & filter your mail, instead of labeled in the inbox, as i had to set up 2 filters for mail being forwarded from other accounts. Yahoo was one of the accounts that were slow forwarding?

Thanks for that info, as that was stopping me from using it, saying it was only available to a few users! probably the US only.

Must go and try it out again :)

Cheers all for the help :D

It won't work with Yahoo or hotmail as they don't allow POP access unless you pay a subscription.:(

Works with yahoo for me!, although I have a .co.uk accountas opposed to a .com account and I think having a .co.uk account gives you more without subscribing...

I didn't know about this option so I had a look!
I'm set to English UK & the Mail Fetcher option is there?

I changed to English US just to see if it gave me anything more? & it did, I now have an option called "Have your own domain"? too.
