Birds!

Was out walking yesterday and the path I was on kept getting more and more overgrown. The more overgrown it got the more crows I could hear overheard and I also noticed loads of bird poo and the plants around me. Next thing I stepped forward and the birds all started screeching and myself and my friend were pelted with poo while we ran away. I've never experienced anything like it! Is it just coincidence that the birds acted this way or are they territorial?

Something frightened them. I'm not trying to be funny but, the reason for all the poo is that they all got a fright. That and suddenly getting up off a branch that they may have been sitting still on for a couple of hours.

If they were feeling territorial they would dive at you.

It may sound stupid but birds empty themselves before flight to reduce weight which must be carried. It'll all a resourse thing.
