    i have an .swf file that is audio only. it will play no problem on anything. i want to just extract the audio from it. i know i can use garage band to just record the system output while the audio plays, but is there any software that can do this quicker?? and free:D

    not really what i was looking for, that does the same job garageband is doing for me now.

    Hmmm Im having a related but slightly different problem - im trying to convert some .swf's to .m4v's at the moment just using QTpro... so it looks like its a success, but I cant get any audio. The visual flash converts without any issue but there is no audio output. I have tried converting to avi's and a few other things with the same result. Not too up on the old flash but im presuming the audio is embedded in some strange way that wont let me access it for a conversion.... hmmm.

    I want to avoid crude hacks like ripping the audio and adding it back in again... Just wondering if anyone has done this or can advise!! Cheers

    There are plenty of tools here for doing this but they're not free. Does Adobe Soundbooth do this seen as how they now own Macromedia etc. Soundbooth is a free Beta download from Adobe AFAIK.
