Who's up for a Las Vegas meet?

In or around October 18, as we've finally set a date (whee) for the ceremony.

It's a random and expensive thing on my part to suggest it, but eh, why not? The weather will be great (mid-high 20's, balmy sunshine) and there's going to be a lot of events on in Las Vegas then: Airshows, faires of all sort, and random things like car racing, which makes for some great photos. There's also some incredibly beautiful desert scenery, with places like Red Rock, Mount Charleston, the Hoover Dam/Lake Meade and the fricking Grand Canyon all within a hop, skip and jump of the city.

There's not much I can do for flights I think, but hotels are dirt cheap - if I can get ten or more to book at once, you can get rooms in the Stratosphere (for example) for less than 60 dollars (€45) a night, inclusive of fees and breakfast.

    Anyone interested?

I've just checked our company intranet and those dates are free for holidays, fares seem to be under €700 with most airlines and it's somewhere I've always wanted to go to. Is there a pub nearby as thats where most boards meets end :p

    Oh and congrats!

    There's a few pubs, heh.

It's also the off-season, so the city and environs won't be overrun with the unwashed masses.

Aye, it supposed to be incredible.

Though constant drinking will do you severe harm in the desert.

I've heard the best thing to do is to rent out a camper van for it though.
