    check this flop

I call the river, pot odds + missed draws and he might be value betting a worse hand

Valor why do you check the flop here? I would call simply because there is so many missed draws out there. 56 sooted missed the open ender, or possibly missed flush.
    I'm calling here.

because no better hand will ever fold and while worse hands might call one bet, we wont be able to get 3 streets of value out of them. there is more value in checking because it keeps the pot small when our holding isnt that strong and we are in position and can easily pick off a bluff

also we look ridiculousy strong, we 3 bet an UTG raise from UTG+1, our raise is JJ+ and AK. If we bet this flop he will put us on at least AK and act accordingly and fold his 88 or whatever, while if we check we can get some value out of him

Cheers for the reply. Excellent advice as usual.

I think I have a complex about not giving free cards. It definately is a big leek of mine.

    thanks for the replies lads,
so the general consensus is to keep the pot as small as possible when a non favourable board flop comes and play the math of the situation?

Betting the flop would be ok if you had TT as there are more overs that can outdraw you. not so much with QQ, weaker hands could catch up (making the 2nd best hand) rather than the other way around
