Out of interest, which do prefer/play most?

I'm more-or-less a 6max player, as it suits my play better, but don't mind full ring too much.

    How bout you?

    (f)ish.

    Ban.
    .
I could make a living no-braining-set-mining full ring but that living wouldn't last long what with my suicide and all.

haha, whats wrong with FR? why take money from 5 fish when you can do it too 9?

because you take it off 5 fish a hell of a lot quicker, and a good players edge is bigger in 6max. fr is for nits.

6 max def. Can play more hands, easier to isolate fish, etc. etc.

Don't mind them Chucky there are numerous play style / personality reasons why a player might prefer 9 handed. Also the reality these days is that 95% of the best players at any given level play 6 max, so guess how strong the alternative full ring players are?

I sort of agree with this, still though in general I think 6 max is more profitable for most winning players. Though at microstakes that Chucky is currently playing he might have a point playing against 9 instead of 5 fish.

95% of the worst do too :D

I play a mix of 6 max, 8 max and 10 max at $1-$2 and $2-$4 Nl these days on Ipoker mostly, so can't definitively speak for other levels or other sites but I'd imagine it'd be pretty much the same at most levels and most sites. Anyway on the games I play without any doubt imho the full ring games are more nitty and it's harder to make a buck there, so now I only play them if I see a known fish there.
