Just as I decided I wanted to get myself an e-bow, they only went and feckin disappeared from Thomann. None of the guitar shops down here in good aul Cork stock them either, and only one offered to order one in for me (at a fairly shíte price). I should be in Dublin during the week though, so does anyone know if any of your fancy uptown music stores sell them? It'd be great if anyone could give me a vauge idea of how to find Dublin's better music shops; my knowledge of the place is a bit sketchy but I'm not totally clueless.

I remember at one stage either music maker or musician inc said they had the cheapest ebows in dublin/ireland. there spitting distance from each other so you could try them.

music maker is on Exchequer St. D2
Musician inc is on Drury st

I went with a Sustainiac in the end when I was originally looking at an eBow, it worked out slightly more expensive, I installed it myself, and it's capable of sustaining all six strings.

Last time I saw one was in Musician Inc. Worth giving them a call. Might be worth checking Audiocity.ie and guitar247.com too.

    Hey,

Can somebody tell me where I can hear an ebow? I have a rough idea what it might sound like but...... Any particular album/song I should stick in my ears?

    Thanks,
    Gumby

www.ebow.com has a list of recordings
by well known artists who have used to ebow
    http://www.ebow.com/ebow/record.htm
    Some have clips

the super-cool intro to "blackened" by metallica is ebow
(if you know the song that is!)
