music and bikes in slane

    Is anyone going to the Slane bash next week -- motorcycle stunts , Ash and Blizzards playing ... i promised my son i'd go -- so i'll probably bring the camera , don't have a long zoom .. but might get lucky

    sounds like a great event, I seen them do a small display in the RDS and it was excellent. I think they will be on when its getting dark so might be good with a long shutter. Best of luck at it.

    Yep, I am going there but really uncertian about taking the camera even though thats why I booked it in the first place, as all the ads so far specifically say they arent allowed.

    Might look a bit obvious with a 100-400mm on the 5D and flash gun against a point and shoot!!!

    i didn't see anything about no camera , would that include no p & s or is it all forms of cameras ? -- maybe its just no slr's

    being a little bit of a bike fan i looked at this - but thought (rightly it would appear) that they'd ban any photography, maybe you might get away with a mobile phone. :(

    I was planning a trip to Collins Bks Dublin too but cancelled when i was informed that no photography is allowed. Sorta maddening seeing that some of my tax euros pay for the place.
    I had checked some other places in the US and Britain it's not all the same some places encourage photography while others actively discourage it. So you really need to check in advance before bringing your camera!!
