Is this a fold?

1/2 hand....I raise to 7 with AA, 7 callers. flop is 2-3-5, 2 clubs. The guy directly to my right bets the pot, he was the final caller of my raise. I ship it for 200. I think this was a call, not a raise, the guy is a solid player. Anyway he calls and has trip 3's. I was hoping he had 6-6,7-7,8-8, maybe even 9-9, but the fact that he didn't re-raise pf told me he had nothing higher. It's hard to fold AA

after 7 callers I'd probably just check fold, or at least play it very carefully.

don't post results, and try to include some more details about positions, reads, action pf, and stack sizes, it helps the chance of some discussion on the hand.

    bbv is that way --->

if a raise to 7 was regularlly getting this many callers you should of raised more. Of course this could of just been unusual for the table, and if so disregard.

raising to 7 is fine, if the table is this loose preflop and generally aggro, just play for set value.

this is a horrible board for you AA in a 7 way pot, you really need an A for it to be a good board! I doubt its profitbale to continue with 6 to act behind.

    Play AA for set value?
Raise more if raises arent being respected especially in early position, but as PL said you need to give more details and take it to the bad beat thread.

    What does BBV mean anyway>

We had a thread on this recently not going to repeat myself, but its far more profitable in games like this to set mine with PPs in early position than to raise an obsence amount to thin the field to 1 player, in the process turning your hand face up.

    This is probably pot limit.

Just as I typed a reply, I thought that this is live and so pot limit.
a limp probably better. and a re-raise if the situation comes up.

edit: sikes beat me to the pot limit comment anyway,

Limp raise is awful too unless we have a short stack.

I'm going to let this one go because I'm trying to be nice.

I think he's referring to the brags and beats sticky. On 2+2 there is a forum called Brags, Beats and Variance (BBV for short) to keep the strategy forums clear.

can't be long now. and my next ban is a month. I think it's ridiculous really when people don't get banned for posting bad advice, and mine is always so solid and sincere.

Anyway this one didn't really merit move up levels, just bad beat sticky ranting. but sure he's a n00b, leave it be.
