Cheap bass

    Anyone know where i can get a real cheap bass?
    Im gonna be teaching myself it but
    im learning guitar at the moment aswell and i'll be getting lessons in the summer for it,
    and i want to learn bass aswell, so i figure i'll just teach myself it
    for the time being.
    Suggestions anyone?

    Go into Waltons, pick up an SX jazz bass.

    yamaha make one for a 300 or so thats not to bad

    Yeh, that sounds good, but is that the cheapest? hah yes i am quite the cheapskate but im after blowing all my cash in America stupidly.
    Im getting a job hopefully soon so mayb i can scratch that much together.
    What about second hand ones?

    Good exchange rate on the dollar and shipping with these guys is cheapy cheapy. Plus you haven't had everybody's dirty fingers all over them in a shop.

    Yeah and pay the $100+ on shipping, then face import duty. Just get one in Waltons. At least you can try it before you buy it. They can be hit and miss.

    Incidentally, Rondomusic is not the manufacturer of SX guitars.

    You can get a second hand japanese fender jazz bass delivered for about €350. I was looking at getting one a while ago. They're on the ishibashi ubox
