Sad state of film development

OK , so I left in two rolls of Velvia to be developed in the Camera Centre 6 weeks ago , still no sign of them coming back , Ive been ringing constantly and the shop assistant is sounding more and more embarrassed.

Chances are the same thing happened as happened to the last two rolls I had done ( not in camera centre though ). They were probably sent through C41 by mistake , just speculating here though , they may show up yet ,

I hope so , because Im hoping there are some good shots in there from Glendalough and the National Stud.

I really like Velvia , but its getting so unpredictable to actually get the stuff back that Im seriously thinking of abandoning the stuff , I seem to be just throwing good money after bad here.

Has anyone else had issues like this , seems that these days the only film that you can rely on getting back is standard 35mm negative.

Or does anyone know who can reliably do this stuff in Dublin without having to send it away , does anyone actually have an E6 process in Dublin ?

Yeah, I was looking for a place a few weeks back and got them done in that photo shop on abbey street (right beside the luas stop). Theres a thread somewhere here about it. If you drop it in monday, tuesday, friday before 9:30 you can collect them the same evening apparently.

Yes it is the place on grafton street , they looked professional enough , I thought they might handle it no problem ,

I was in there today , they guy went red as soon as he saw me , I asked him straight out if there had been a problem , have they been lost or ruined or anything and he said no , hed try and have them for me as soon as possible , so heres hoping they turn up , going for 7 weeks now ..... they are charging 11 euros per roll , thats 22 euros altogether , not cheap and not a great service !!

As for the fuji centre , I know they have an E6 , but is was this crowd that ruined the previous rolls on me , ..... cant bring myself to give them a second chance.

Crowdedhouse , thanks for the recommendation on dlab7 , I'll go there next.

Additional tip: Put cassettes in a small padded envelope without the plastic containers, envelope will be thin enough for letter rate (about 80c) instead of packet rate which is about €2.50

i wouldn't go near the camera centre - was in there three times, and never got talking to a staff member who had the slightest clue as to what they were talking about.
