    John Rambo trailer

Eat your heart out Die Hard 4 with your stupid PG13 rating.
This is how it should be done. Blood, guts 'n' violence aplenty.

My anticipation for this just shot waaaay the hell up.

    Cannot wait.

niiiiice. it's just unfortunate they didn't do this years ago when Stallone wasn't an old, old man, but what they lost in years they made up in gore. this, for me now, is a must see!

    That was - absurdly violent.

Damn, thats alot of footage for a teaser trailer.

Very gory when he opened up a soldier's stomach with his knife :)

This reminds me of those B-movie rip-offs that the Italians specialised in back in the 70s. Standard fare just add gore

    Mike.

Well, nothing left to see now bar the set pieces and the end credits.

And that alone is going to be enough to sell this movie.

Excellant, but I hope this wasn't all the blood, guts & gore, I would be deeply disappointed.

I await this with a smile on my face.

Didn't realise the movie had progressed so far. Is it getting released soon?
Good trailer, but everything about the movie is covered in the 3min :) Guns, bullets, explosions and blood can fill in the rest.

He's not playing a human being in this one, he's playing JOHN RAMBO.

That looks class. As someone said in the comments though, what willbe left after the studio/censor gets through with it? :(

I dunno... I'm not sure how suited Stallone's direction is to action. And the gore is great, but is it in keeping with First Blood? It does seem a little on the gratuitous side, and lacking in the tension that made the first film so good. I have no problem with him making a violent Rambo film like the two sequels, but if his plan is to get back to basics a la Rocky Balboa, i'm not convinced.

The unstoppable creature with the ability to blind enemy soldiers so they can't hit him from 2 feet away!

How the man didn't break his hip falling during this trailer is a question that shall boggle the minds of scholars for years to come. Looks gore-tacular.

crikey....that was bloody great - time to go home and watch the Rambo collection again (yes even the bad one)

The guy exploding in the jeep after getting shot with the "cannon" you knew it was going to be special

Does he punch a guys head off in that trailer? Just past two minutes in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,836 ✭✭✭Vokes

I think he uses a machete.

That blew my expectations out of the water completely! I thought it would be toned down / wouldn't the John Rambo we know and love but Holy sh*t!! A welcome return for mindless 80's action, I don't care if this has the plot of a carpet........it's Rambo! Guns, blood & explosions (I laughed my ass off when he blew the guy sitting in the jeep in front of the cannon to chunks!) A rare movie I will actually pay to see.

    Ahhh right.
I didn't have the sound on when I first looked at it, so I missed the nice sound effect :o

I wish he punched someone's head off. It'd be so ridiculous, I'd laugh my ass off. And i did check it twice. But you can see him drop a machete straight afterwards.

You should check out The Story of Ricky then if you want to see mindless gore involving peoples heads being punched off, strangling a man with your own intestines, etc....

Or the bit where the guy falls face-first on a plank of wood with nails on it? One thing I never got was at the end and how he broke the gigantic prison wall with his fist and just gleefully walked out.............couldn't he have just done that at the start? Nah, then none of the gore then I suppose!
