I'd go solid stock for the larger battery, and quicker changes.

Definitely the fixed stock, I'm about to get a full metal CA MP5 with fixed stock and flashlight foregrip. They look mean!

    They look mean!

that exactly what i was thinking, though if i use it might consider getting a more expensive one but i love my TM sr-16 so much.

I have the Airsoft Elite mp5 a5 (sliding stock). It is very good, full metal and looks alot meaner than the solid stock. Dont worry about running out of battery with a mini batt I have only run out of battery once and thats because it was not fully charged .

you've already ordered, but personally i prefer the sliding stock, much nice IMO, but what really matters is what you prefer yourself.

You're just not as trigger happy as some :p

Get a large a battery as possible. If that means choosing a fixed stock over a collapsible then go with the fixed stock.

Well, That's what I'd do anyway.

well i have just ordered, not paid for, ordered LOL, the folding stock version, but i truly can never make up my mind...i think the full stock because of the batt is a good idea tho. u can never have enough power, particularly if you want to upgrade.

dam that a nice mp5, like the front rails, most the rail systems for the MP5 make look wierd, like the folding stcok too

well as i experienced first hand last week with the m4 cqb they make really good metal aeg's...and i do mean really good...but their internal work can be a bit poor in comparison to TM. i was warned by uncompany and wgc that the hop up bucking component is vulnerable and should be replaced and pretty much every one of their aeg's. this part is 5 dollars for a systema part but u have to ask, why dont g&g just get it right, its only friggen 5 dollars.

i am going on the principle that i will replace the gear box with a systema one eventually and when i priced it to convert a TM to metal as i wanted to do would work out much dearer. so i am basically getting the G&G for the metal housing, play with it until it busts out in a year or 2 and then replace the innards..thats the plan anyways...

same as with the m4...i wanted one of the cqb ones, but to get a tm, metal upper receiver, metal front barrel, rewire for a crane stock, it would have worked out about 600 or possibly more...way way too much for me...

i just have to figure out where to get 300 dollars LOL...the missus will friggen kill me...

still, lets be honest...does a 2 year old need food...i think that is exaggarated... :D it will be a learning experience, hopefully not for me...

Fixed stock can be difficult to aim with when wearing a face mask. For CQB I collapsed the stock the whole way in order to a proper sight picture.

Have you thought about ICS? They are full metal and top quality inside and out. Cheaper than G&G but no less quality imho.

My ICS fires like clockwork out of the box and I never had a problem with it.
Its tuff as nuts and very heavy, no monkey metal.

Most of the internals are metal. Basically pre upgraded.
Of course i have the split mech box on my M4 which is cool as fek.

The new ICS Version 3 line seems to have ironed out any inconsistencies that ICS may have had previously in production.
I think compared to a G&G you have way less chance of buying a lemon.
The turbo 3000 motor is one of the best out there apparently.

G&G look/feel great but I have heard a good few sob stories on da interweb about their quality control.

Only my 2c as I am an ICS fanboy and would not spend serious € on anything else (apart from cheap clones!)

gotta say, love that ICS split gearbox, and it's sooooooo easy to get out of the m4 too

yeah, theres something about it thats cool , apart from instant upgrade/downgrade-ability.
I think the fact it strips down very much like the real deal adds COOL factor.

I am buying a complete upper section for the gear box for about €60 and will stick a M120 spring in there; dunno why though as I cant use that here in the republic. I may get away with it up north tho ;)

It will be cool to be able to switch between 2 power levels within a few seconds.

Reckon Im going to get the ICS M16 as I am so impressed with the M4CQB.

On topic - Rectractable stock for HRTA/CQB deffo and fixed for outdoors, hence me getting the M16 eventually.
For my CQB I am getting RIS PIQ Battery box so I can stick a big 9 volt battery in it, grrrrrr.

    Go ICS Team Go!
