bitcomet blocking internet

didnt no where to post this,but everytime i start up bitcomet and then try go on the internet it it just says connecting,i have eircom broadband, and im running vista,any ideas of what could be rong?

Ya very common problem with Bitcomet, there is some issue with ports.
I solved simple switching to another client such as utorrent.com .
I used Bitcomet for few years, but Utorrent is seriously better and faster.
