Are there any problems with the 990i?

I've one and i'm trying to sell it, but want to be able to warn people of any pontential problems ( damn moral honesty )

Other than the fact that it's sort of big?

(actually I know someone who is dying to get one since they saw mine.. so let me know if you're listing it on adverts.ie)

I heard there was load of problems with the firmware when it came out - http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/sony-ericsson-p990i.htm . Not sure if they fixed the issues.

Well have you updated it to the latest firmware?
    It should be version r5a17.
Is your phone branded in anyway?
If your phone comply's with the above, the phones grand, have one myself and have no issues with it,its now the way it should be from day 1!
I was put off buying one until i knew that the software was stable etc and sony ericsson seems to have achieved that!

Ps:just saw your ad,dont take this the wrong way but your price is to high, they can now be bought from expansys.ie for under 400 because the phone is old now and the new version is just around corner.(se p1i)

May I ask a question here? How do you check what firmware is on the phone?

I have the P990 7 or 8 months now. It occasionally crashed on me. Usually when browsing or if I was impatient and tapping rapidly on a function because it wasn't responding as quick as I was expecting. I installed the latest firmware less than a week and it seems to be performing better. WiFi and 3G working great. No crashes and the web.......yet! The bookmark icon has greyed out though on the bottom right when in 'Multimedia' - 'Web'.

Pity finding a contact isn't as easy as the P910 with the letters along the bottom to find names beginning with.....or have I missed something?
I'm afraid I am addicted to the 'pen' when it comes to texting.

A new version on the way? Hopefully this doesn't encounter the delays the SE P990 had in being released.

Not impressed with the new one.Its only got a 3.2 megapixel camera.A n95 has a 5 megapixela and samsung is bringing out a phone with 7 megapixel.Sony is way behind its competitors
