Hey guys i have a sony ericsson w810i and can connect to the mac with it using bluetooth. the mac recognizes it no problem. i found a piece of software on the web called ericsson client to try to transfer files to the phone but it's having trouble recognizing the phone. 1 sec it looks like it's querying the phone, the next it has lost it.

Has anyone used this software before or transfered files to a sony ericsson phone from their mac.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

If it's just transferring files then the macs own built in bluetooth file exchange programme should be able to do the job just fine.

I've yet to come across a phone that it can't transfer files to.

Is that iSync? I tried that, it picked up the phone perfectly but it only allowed you to sync your address book, etc - is there a way using iSync to transfer files (e.g. pictures or media files) to the phone?

No... Bluetooth File Exchange... it's an app that you'll find in the utilities folder, inside applications.

You can also set it up in system preferences and set it so it shows up in the menu bar.

I've used it with the P990i and the k750i
