In between rain today I managed to take some shots, let me know what you think ?

For the bird at the bottom I managed to take the photo at 1/2000 f4 with iso 200, thank god for the days when its too bright to look at the sky :)

    Thanks

I love the wall of fire idea :)

What sort of equipment are you using?

The images look nice and sharp & I especially like the composition of the 2 macro shots.

Would like to see a tighter crop of the bird pic as the background dominates a little imo.

I love the second one with the centre part of the flower (not a biologist) in focus, and the one of the bird. Great timing

I was thinking about cropping the bird picture, some badly cropped pictures below :P, it was a right pain to try and capture them in flight. I ended up making a canon remote control with a 5m cable extension so I could sit in my house and wait for the birds.
For info on the remote try here

As for the setup for the flower shot BTW they called "opium poppies", no kidding, the diameter of the flower is about 4-5 inches and are grown in a green house. The thing was it was stuck with the glass on two sides and grey concencrete behind it, thats why the background looks greyish/white.

    Camera: Canon EOS 350D Digital
    Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/320)
    Aperture: f/10
    Focal Length: 190 mm
    ISO Speed: 100
    Exposure Bias: -1 EV
    Exposure Program: Aperture priority
    Lens Sigma 70-300
