hey all. I'm looking for a good place to buy some SNES games. I bought onew or two off ebay but with postage and all that it costs about 15 - 20 euro, which is a tad expensive. anyone know anywhere good to get games? either on the web or places in Dublin

Ive been trying to figure out a place myself for a few years. As far as I see it, it just doesnt exist.

    Only real options are;

    1; ebay
    2; Car boot sales
    3; Charity shops

If you dont fancy forking money out on ebay, try and have a look around the other two. Ive had some great finds in charity shops. Including a snes with 15 of its best titles, two control pads and an import adapter for E15 :D

Charity shops are a good one, you can try cash converters and the like but they tend to take the piss pricewise. There's a video rental/sales place in Cork that has a small selection of older games on sale, so it might be worth checking independent video stores in Dublin too, see if any of them do the same.

I forgot about cash converters. They can be a good source. All depends on who in the store prices the stuff. I managed to pick up a load of n64 games a while back at one for 2 euro each

I don't know where you live but there's a games shop/bookshop down the end of Talbot St (in Dublin) that sells old games. There used to be two of them, but one closed down (unfortunately that was the better one!! and I can tell you that you could have found games from any systems in there  )

    Hope this helps!

I went in there about two weeks ago to have a look at their dreamcast games and all the old games seemed to be gone.

    Just gone!

I wonder did they have a sale or something?

    o1s1n,

are you sure you went to the same place? cos I was in there this evening and they have hundreds of old games, Dreamcast, Saturn, Megadrive, N64 etc.

    ...?!
They must have hid their stock when they saw me coming...

All the Sega stuff was on the left when you walked in the door. This time there were just dvds there.

It was a few shops up the road from where Gamezone was. Ah, I still cant believe that closed down. I had so much more business for them :(

they have 3 pc's on the left when you walk in the door and all of the old games ar eon that side too, the newer console games are on the right hand side.
