    Lads,

Where do y'all get your camo gear / BDUs from ?

I'm looking to get a shirt/jacket and pants (prolly in woodland camo), and I'm reluctant to order online in case they don't fit or I just plain ole don't like 'em.

The only place I know of in Dublin or near abouts is Army Bargains, up near Capel Street, and they seem to be mad expensive.

    Cheers for any info.

dont use camo at the moment myself and the only thing similar i've ordered online was a tac vest, most people seem to buy online though and dont have too much trouble with sizing, any websites i've looked at have sizing info for you to check.

check out flecktarn.co.uk or ehobby have a decent selection

well if you pick the real bdu or if you want to get all newish call it acu, they have standard sizes. you will find if they are real clvilian produced ones (from companies like propper), they correspond to standard sizes quite accurately and u will find that all over the web one good thing they have is a thing called ripstop which is cross stitching to, well, stop rips. if its a copy they tend to be cut a bit smaller, certainly thats my experience. i got some from ehobby cos they are dirt cheap...they are cut a bit smaller..but to be fair i was suprised by the quality. altho the real test is after about 10 or so washes...a real pair will cost you around min 70 dollars for shirt and trousers and thats for older stuff....ehobby are doing fake acu for 25 or so...

as u can see they are not cheap

official sizing here at the bottom of the page

i used to use a site in the US called http://www.hdesert.com/

unfortunately he doesnt take credit card any more cos someone stiffed him. u can use western union online now tho, and he use that...expect to get it picked up in customs, i always did...

there are a few there i used before...one that could be good here is the tigerstripe one called tac tiger, its a swat variant i think...not the best website in the world and u will have to email him the order. the sizing on his site are accurate for the real ones..he does offer imports as well i think.

then again i have never been to hrta so i am talking thru my ass....
