I recently saw a beautiful yellow Golf Mark 1, left hand drive, but on original Irish Reg plates black and silver. It may have been for the German or Swiss market. It appears to have been here since the early 80s so maybe it was brought over when new.

I prefer the mark 2 tbh, I have 6 all Irish registered except 1.

Lovely looking Mk 1 - good luck with it.

If I had not spent the a big chunk of my ssia on an alfasud it would have went on this - yummy.

Very pricey imho. Nice though. If you want a VRTable hot hatch the Pug 205 GTI's are much better value.

Old thread I know, but can anybody confirm the origin of that reg?

We had KZS 876 on a late 84 Dublin-reg Golf, so that ties in with what MercMad said.
