should i always be betting the turn here? i was cursing myself for having checked as soon as i did it, but feared he may have called with a wrap and didn't want to face a reraise, is it a crying call on river given his bluff equity?

Ok, i'm tired so my responses will be brief...

Hand 1: Yes, I play the same way and go broke almost every time.

Hand 2: Min-raises preflop in PLO are gay. PLO has a unique geometric pot-building system so use it well. The Jack is a reasonably good card for you (could only be a gutshot most of the time). Bet 3/4 pot - your hand is huge. I like the check-call on the river. I never bet it and I never fold. I expect him to have JKxx, maybe have backed into two pair or else have the nuts. UL if he has the latter.

As Flipper said, hand 1 is fine (except maybe preflop - not a good hand). Hand 2 I def bet the turn (and as said, minraise is horrible in any game preflop), and check call river a lot.

Hi sean in hand 1 id be folding to two people who play these stakes. PLONQUER is a well known irish player rock altogether and marie 87 is also atighter than tight player againest everone else i pump it drawing to 1 outer usually.Hand 2 bet the pot on the turn even if he has the str8 uhave your flush draw and sett to pair , as played call the river.

He has the nut flush draw in hand 1 as well Mick, so more than a 1 outer.

    I'd fold hand 1 preflop.

are you seriously saying you call on the river??????? yikes.....
    nut flush draw made no???
also you say you think he has kj, that does trip queens though......

hand1. i would never fold this.... honestly
you have the nut flush draw for back up if you are behind, there are a lot of lunatics who do that with top 2, good chance of him having so form or wrap and lower flush draw, but i wouldnt be folding here for $500

hand 2. i dont know why people say above that it would be a gutshot.... this is omaha.... he could easily have a wrap and in the moment you are more than likely going to check unless you are an aggressive player. the check is entitling both him and you to a free card. if the board pairs with a heart i think you get paid somewhat here with that cheque, i'mpretty sure he hit nut flush on river and got lucky, but there is a chance he calls the turn too if another draw came about....
just think you got unlucky here and couldnt really get any money from either of these

The hero has a queen high flush on the river here.
In that hand I hate the min-raise - it's just asking for trouble.
I would lead the turn and probably call the river here.

Hand one fold preflop some of the time.
You will be shown a hand that you're beating almost 0% of the time here, but you have to shove it in with the nut flush draw given the odds you're getting.

in the first hand i called the river he had nut flush, no straight draws, i think i prob bitched out not betting the turn, hand two he had bare king flush draw!turn and river are blanks although he was drawing dead so thats pretty irrelevant.
