Problem with IE7 and gifs

Hi all,

If I'm in the wrong place, please advise me as to where I should go with this problem. It's driving me mad!

Internet Explorer 7 won't load any gif images. For example, at the top of this page it shows the words "boards.ie" "adverts.ie" "subbed" "arts" "biz", etc. But inbetween, where the images would normally be, I've got that little box which has a red square, green cirle and blue triangle in it. The images never load on any website and I also can't open .gif extensions on my pc at all, not with any programme. I can open .jpg and .bmp no problem. This has just happened today and I've no idea why. Anyone got any suggestions? Any help is really appreciated!

Open IE7

Choose:

TOOLS
INTERNET OPTIONS
ADVANCED
Scroll down to the "MULTIMEDIA" section & make sure that the box for "SHOW PICTURES" is ticked.

Then do a "REFRESH" (View Refresh)

It wouldn't be any harm to delete your "Temporary Internet Files" too

Goto:
Tools
Internet Options
Delete Temporary files.
