MMA - What to watch?

So I've been trying to watch a bit more MMA recently. Got my hands on Pride 9 (which I'm sure was donkeys ago) and watched it and some other UFC night.

TBH, I'm finding it a bit boring....The fights seem to go like this: few slaps, bit of a wrestle, on to the ground, stay on the ground, stay on the ground, stay on the ground, etc.

I've no problem at all with the grappling as such, it just gets a bit tiresome after a bit.

So, is there a UFC or Pride number that I should look at for a quality bit of entertainment?

If you bought Pride 9 on DVD you should have got ten with it. In tower in Wicklow street and above Eason on O,Connell Street they sell double DVD's of Pride as far as 22 and UFC as far as 40 for only 30 euro. Pride 10, 13 and 14 are excellent shows all the fights are exciting. If you saw pride 9 you saw Vitor Belfort bore you to death. Pride 10's worst fight is the first one, Belfort v Matsui but every other fight is jaw droppingly good. Give it a gander. I wont give away the results to you. These are excellent Prides, great standard of fights, excitement and kick ass stand-up with exciting, always moving grappling. They kick ass.

Also a greater understanding of the ground and wrestling games tend to enhance enjoyment!

Pride 33 was downright one of the most exciting MMA events of all time. alot of the older Pride events have been very dull, due to no standups or yellow cards in place at that time. See Severn/Kimo if you want Zzzzz.

Single fights I'd recommend for you:

    Diaz v Parisyan
    Serra v Parisyan
    Diaz v Lawler
    Diaz v Gomi
    Sakuraba v Newton
    Edgar v Griffin
    Nog v Crocop
    Nog v Sapp
    Sakuraba v Renzo
    Sakuraba v Rampage

Jesus, there's loads of cracking fights, but look out for those..

I have no idea about this.
    Thank you so much.

I think recent gp's have also been great. Not sure which are on DVD yet. But both MW (really LHW) gp's. LW GP (Maybe best gp EVER!). And HW and open weight gp's. Personal favorite is LW GP. Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen is one of my favorites... All time action standing up and on the ground. Maybe 2000GP is tad bit boring because there is still domination of one dimensional wrestlers. And 90 minutes match of Sakuraba and Royce (i find it good but i understand some people not liking it)
