    Its great to see new parks poppin up all over the place.
    Unfortunately there seems to be a swing towards 'modular' parks
    - even if they are concrete (which is good) they could be a lot better.

    Councils will tell ya that its all about budget, but its not as simple as that.
    MODULAR PARKS ARE EASIER.
    Council people don't have to put as much time into the actual design
    - they can just pick 'units' from a company's catalogue.

    The link below shows what can be done - its not really big or expensive but its a great looking park. Due to open soon.
    The skaters of Edinburgh have had loadsa hassle getting a park - it looks like persistence paid off
    - as it did for Bushy, Lucan, Gorey & Greystones over here.

    If enough people actually understand what makes a good park, we'll end up with some of the most skateable terrain in Europe.
    In my opinion Swords/Blanch/Cabra (& Monkstown on the way) are not the best parks we can get.

    If ya know about a proposed park in your area GET INVOLVED.
