Interesting program on TG4 last night about Cearbhall O Dalaigh, who was the only Irish President ever to resign in the history of the state.
I didn't know anything about the controversy, now I know where the phrase "thundering disgrace" came from.
Interestingly Wikipedia said the guy who said it (Minister for Defence Paddy Donegan) was pissed at the time;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cearbhall_%C3%93_D%C3%A1laigh.
That wasn't in the program last night.
