CV question

Is a one-page CV too short?

I'm doing the Leaving Cert in June so I'll just be putting it into shops, restaurants, cinemas, etc. I have my Junior Cert results, a line on what I want to do next year (Science, should I take that out?), 1 previous work experience (receptionist), a bit on hobbies and 2 references. I could get it onto one page, but should I space it out onto two?

Also, to hand it in to places, is it ok to just fold it up and put it into a brown envelope or should I buy folders?

    Thanks.

From my experience people only read the CV and throw away the folders.
Folded in an envelope should be Ok (but I'm no expert)

yeah my CV is only 1 page, although my previous experiance is limited.

i was told in my college communications class to keep the CV as brief as possible, and just state things relevant to the job. The employer dosent want to reading your life story, just wants to know if you should be called for an interview or not

Ditto. I learnt in a Bus Comm class that a school/college leaver's CV should really only be one page...two pages is when you are mid-career (allegedly, tho I'm 25 and mine is two pages now!).

Two pages for someone not out of school is excessive. Your CV should be trimmed down as much as practical, not padded out.

Just use A4 envelopes when handing them in. Don't staple or bind them as the business will have their own way of filing them.
