    Will JK be doing any radio interview ? I remember a year or two ago he was on some station and some people rang in saying it was glorified pub brawling, no better then soccer holigans, etc. Then some 'auld wan' rang in repeating the above and then went on to say that he grandson was a BB in TKD and that he could beat any of them :D

    cause lots of winners of pride and ufc are/were tkd black belts.(sorry sarcasm) the public are idiots. wouldnt it be great if we had some sort of televised mma on the national broadcaster. we could see this womans grandson win the tournament. (sorry sarcasm again)

    TKD= TaKe ones Dough

    There are more than you think.

    Lee Hasdell, Mark Weir and Leigh Remedios in the UK all come from TKD backgrounds.

    Samy and James Schiavo from France come from TKD backgrounds.

    I'm pretty sure Maurice Smith does too.

    I bet you could come up with a lot more if you went looking.

    It was a great article, if you never heard of mma you'd have a basic understanding of it after reading it. Best of all it was in the sports section, so it wasn't being treated like a niche article.

    Of course. No arguments with you there. I was just making the point that with TKD alone one would stand little chance in mma. While these guys have TKD backgrounds it would be madness to go into mma with no ground game. Think Gilbert Yvel in early-mid prides. (i know he's not TKD).

    Who's the polish dude who was quite successful in MMA, he came from a TKD background too.
