    Reminded me of this nugget...

    The Buffalo Theory

A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo, and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first.

This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.

Now, as we know, excessive drinking of alcohol kills brain cells. But, naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

That is interesting, and a shame most people are totally ignorant about alcohol.
If Digg now drinks one beer per hour he will stay right where he wants to be
That is very true, the average person processes 1 pint per hour, so in theory if you drank a crate of 24 beers over 24 hrs you would never get drunk. If you want to get to a certain level fast you should hit the spirits quickly, get up your desired BAC and then "coast" all night on beers slowly. Unfortunately most people I know do the exact opposite, slowly drink beers, then the more you drink the more you can put away, towards the end of the night is the time they decide to go on spirits! at this stage vodka tastes like water, there is lots of drink in their system still to take affect and BAM- blackout

Anyone got any feedback on those disposable breathalysers you can get in chemists for 4.99 or something? As in how many times can you use it while getting a correct reading or is it one use only?

Those portable breathalysers you can put on your keyring are starting ot look like a worthwhile investment and a definite conversation starter.
