Hi Folks, hard drive on my pc has crashed........luckily i'd backed it up. Have been racking my brains over what might have caused it and the only thing I can come up with was a short power cut crashed the pc. Has anyone had any experiences with electricity cuts buggering up their pc's? Would be interested in your opinions....rgds kommy

Sometimes pulling the plug can damage an old PC, rarer for a newer one. As long as you have everything backed up, reformat the HDD. Should extend its life but tbh I'd be looking towards replacing it por certainly keeping it strictly backed up - could happen again.
