    hi,

i just remember this being mentioned at a blackhall seminar back in january..basically whoever was speaking (i think it was someone from william fry) was saying there are plenty of oppurtunites abroad for people looking to work in the legal profession for a short period, say 3/4 months. im considering travelling abroad in a couple of months and was just seeing has anyone worked in a legal capacity in say australia/new zealand/canada for a short period or does anyone have any advice on this or know anything useful? do you have to do any conversion courses or anything like that? im not qualified (just finished fe-1s) and if i could get some experience abroad combined with some travelling, that would be great.. its only a thought at this stage and i have yet to research it properly but post below if you have any thoughts.. cheers

Do a Google search. Look at the sites of Local; Law Society's, Bar Associations, etc. You should be able to find links to law firms. Most of the major law firms will have glossy sites and recruitment pages. Send a few cv's to these firms with a covering email telling them your story and see how you get on. I think that given that you are unqualified you're best bet is aiming for an intern type role or maybe even clerical/secretarial.

    Good luck with it.
