TG4 Jingle Thingy Request.......

    Hi All,
    Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, wasnt sure where to post.

    i'm looking for the TG4 "jingle" in a sound file to use as a text alert for my mobile phone. Not sure if this is possible or not but it's the one thats about 4 or 5 notes long and sounds like it's played on pan pipes.

    Sorry to be so vague, but thats the best way i can describe it!

    I know the jingle you mean - about 5 note riff played on
    some kind of flute with buckets of reverb/echo.

    Dont know anywhere to download this. There 2 options
    that I can think of to get this - record the jingle
    on DVD/VHS and capture/extract the sound from the
    files as mp3/wav.... or ask TG4 very nicely for a copy
    in a file ?? They could be happy to have this playing
    as a kind of promo for them!

    IIRC it used to play automatically when you opened tg4.ie but I'm not sure if it still does.

    Not really technical enough myself to do the recording/ripping thing, but i have already requested TG4 for some help and am awaiting their reply.

    Guess i was just hoping there might be someone out there in internet-land who either has this or works for TG4 and might be able to help me out.

    Just to let people know if interested, TG4 got back to me today & sent the sound as a wav file which is now merrily announcing the arrival of my new text messages (at least until it starts to do my head in...)
    so, if anyone out there works in TG4, fair play & ta very much.
