Mine is messed up, I need a new one.
I know they are 5 volts, I assume a normal adaptor won't charge it?
How much and where could I get one?
    Thanks.

    Which model?Is this for a H120 or H140?

If so do NOT use a nokia charger or another
similar size one as the polarity is different
and whilst it will fit it'll fry it.

Whilst you can pick them up on-line you'll pobably have
to pay a bit as they're rather rare at this stage.

I've used these in the past and found rather useful:
    http://www.boxwave.com/products/minisync/minisync-retractable-cable-iriver-h140_355.htm
Delivery from their US shop takes less than a week.

You can also get one of these which will allow you to charge
any USB device from the wall socket:

I've checked most of the online shops (misticriver and portacharger)
and they've discontinued the normal charger at this stage.

    I have a H140, thanks I'll try em out.
I can't use usb on mine anymore, since I fell on it.
It just freezes my computer when I connect it.

I have 2, but if you can find me a car charger that will work with the H140, you can have 1 of them as I use one for the gaf and the other incase I run out of battery in the van, and I have it connected to this:

uk_372334_1_std.jpg so it would be a lot handier to just connect it directly:)

Maybe I'll just buy a new player.
I can't take music on or off this one, it takes about 2-3 minutes to start up, it's pretty loud and now the charger is ****ed.

    :(

Did you have rockbox on it? You could probably sell it for parts on Ebay?

I don't have rockbox on it no, after I fell on it in college it got messed up, but still works. Don't know how much parts would be worth. I could try yto fix it in the lab but hmm, I know nothing about it. May have a look anyway.
