How much would a 99 Opel Astra estate 1.4lt be worth. It has about 96,000 miles on the clock and is in good condition. The tax is up at the end of June and the NCT is up at the end of October. It is just after being serviced.

I dont know much about cars so any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd take a guess and say it is worth between €3500 and €4000.

look at getting the 1.7 turbo diesel.


but price for that would be around 3k.

I'd be thinking under 3 geand, and also of spending a bit more on a diesel

Sounds an awful lot for a 99 car. 02 Vectras are barely making 6k.

Make sure the head gasket was done in the Astra!

Probably so as it was a guess. Astras tend to hold their value better than Vectras in my experience.

Your guess wasn't that far off imho. Astra estates seem to keep their value particularly well. For once, it's a sellers' market
