    Hi Folks,

This is my very first post, so go easy on the critique.

Here's a snap of the causeway that I took last October.

Feel free to drop by my webpage to see a few more.

Second that, great shot. Just the right amount of blur in the water for my liking. Very nice.

Lovely shot. I'm heading up there in August, really looking forward to it. I think I've seen your pic before on PI?

Love the contrast between the stone & the sea.
    Great colour in the sky.
I've always wanted to get up there, with a camera.
    What lens did you use?

It was shot with a Pentax 14mm DA prime

    (21mm equivalent on 35mm).

I love the atmospheric feeling in this shot.:)

Great exposure! As Borderfox mentioned, the shutter speed is perfect to capture the motion on the water.
I've been very impressed with your work over on PI and decided to make the treck up to Antrim a few weeks back. It was well worth the drive, fantastic area.

Welcome Andy. Fantastic shot as usual. We definitely must organise some outing. I'd love to learn a bit of your technique.

Tip: Change your skin here to "Cloud" and tou will have a nice black background. I think it works really well for photos posted here.

I really like your photo IR194 (Sea Posts) What time of day did you take that at?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 349 ✭✭amcinroy

Thanks for the warm welcome guys,

Pauly, that shot was taken on a grey afternoon up at Portstewart. The overcast weather seemed to suit the B&W treatment.

    Cheers for that.

    Great shots

    what cam u use?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 349 ✭✭amcinroy

    I'm using a Pentax K10D

Mostly with my 14mm DA and 21mm DA Limited.

Although I tend to use my 16-45mm DA when I've got cold fingers !!
