    Hi,

I have a laptop bag and a camera bag (slr). I don't really want to put either on them in my check-in baggage. Will they allow me to carry them both on board?

Well Aer Lingus might, but security is your sticking point. Unless one fits into the other, you're probably going to hit a problem..

Really depends on where you flying into.

I believe most UK airports have a 'One Bag" rule
and security in LHR are rather anal about it.
Of course nothing stopping you from putting both
bags into one large bag (even a plastic carrier bag)
just for security screening and separating them again
    once past security/xray screening.

Aer Lingus most likely wont care - they'll be too busy trying
to sell you coffee or newspapers. ;)
