    I know its VERY early to be asking this but even though i only have my imac 5 months, im not savvy as to the best places to go for software purchases!

    when leopard is released where will you buy it from for the best value?

    I'll probably just get it from Apple. I seriously doubt there'll be anywhere selling it for less, not right after release, the opposite if anything.

    I will wait until I buy a new computer, since my current Mac is almost 1 1/2 years old and I tend to get a new one every 2 years or more frequently anyway.

    I have never bought an OS upgrade. I always got the upgrade by buying a new Mac.

    After my experience of buying Tiger fairly early I would not recomment an early purchase to anyone. I think they released Tiger long before it was ready - never again an early purchase for me:(

    I've been using Leopard in work for the past couple of months and will probably just keep using that, and Tiger at home until I see a good reason to upgrade.
