In March I made a claim with the Small Claims Court.
You can see the status by logging on the website so here is my status.

THIS CLAIM HAS BEEN SERVED ON THE RESPONDENT. AWAITING RESPONSE.

    Last update was March 28th.
I read that the respondant (a dodgy motor dealer) has 14 days to respond or I automatically win.

I've heard nothing almost 6 weeks later.
I've tried ringing the court and asking for the registrar but I keep getting bounced around offices.
It's Dublin Metropolitan Court, Essex Street.

I'm not looking for legal advice on the case.
But how long do Small Claim cases take?
I think they've forgotten about me:(

I saw that info on citizens.ie about 14 daqys but they said it's a load of crap. It takes about 2 weeks for them to get it stamped, then it goes to the person. They have six weeks or something to respond.

I'm glad they told me that though, because when that period was up they didn't make me wait longer, I had automatically won.

Now I don't know how long it takes to get the money, I'm still waiting two weeks later.
