Band seeks 2nd guitarist to help create sound

    Newly established band are looking for a looking for a 2nd guitarist to help create the overall sound of the band. Our sound at the moment would be best described as driving/ building/ pop-ish / psychadelic alt-rock. So far there's bass, drums and guitar, we're all in our mid 20's and all have previous gigging and recording experience.

    We're looking for someone who's very knowledgeable as regards guitar effects and can really use effects, not necessarily a shredder, but someone whom can add ambient soundscapes, walls of sound and generally help drive the band. We're not necessarily looking for a rhythm guitarist but the other guitarist plays quite a few riffs through the songs so we need someone who can compliment his playing...there'll be plenty of opportunity to make your guitar howl as well!! Maybe think Adam Jones, Tom Morello, Kevin Shields, (early) Nick McCabe...

    So we're looking for someone around their mid-20's, who can commit to rehearsals 2-3 weekly, can contribute to the songwriting process (and also contribute cash as well when needed!). All so must have previous gigging & recording experience. This is not a bit part, we're looking for someone to be actively involved in all aspects of the band from an early stage

    We have a city centre rehearsal room and serious management interest and contacts throughout all aspects of the business (producers, PR, media, studios, etc)

    So, this could be a great opportunity for the right guitarist...it might end in tears but the not knowing is the fun part!!!;)

    Also, if there's any keyboard/synth/organ players out there who like the sound of that let me know.

    Where are you based and when do you practice? Im in sandymount, 23 have pro equipment lots of pedals for weird nosies and own transport. I play in a cover band but im looking for original band to work with. Have you got a myspace i can check out?
