It used to be 5.30 News, 6.00 Soap, 6.30 News, 7.00 Soap.

They only did 2 news bulletins within 30 minutes of each other to fill their home produced programming quota. They realised they could still do that with an entertainment show, so now it's :

    5.30 News, 6.00 "Xposé", 6.30 Soap.

So now the only news shows on TV3 are Ireland AM updates, 5.30 and News Tonight.
