Can anyone guess what a replacement shutter release or a repair to the shutter release mechanism of a dslr (eos 300d) is likely to run to ?

Also can anyone recommend a place in town that does it on site (preferably if someone can recommend a place from personal experience).

Call Canon for a quote. I think ISS (Image Supply Systems) are an Irish authorised Canon repair centre. No harm calling them too.

Otherwise, you may end up having to ship it to Canon repair centre in the UK.

I will check with ISS later - dont fancy sending it away if its avoidable there should be somewhere in dublin that can do it (I reckon anyway). Cheers for the info.
