    Hi there,

    My names is Paddy McKenna, I'm 25 years old and I've been playing with my band Waif for a little over 5 years - www.myspace.com/waifrock.

    I'm interested in starting up a different kind of musical group. It'd be acoustic (for a start) - I'm thinking of 2 guitars, 2 voices ( one male, one female) with clever, original melodies/harmonies/lyrics.

    I'm an average guitar player but I'm a strong singer and I write lyrics and melody well. I'd like to hear from any female guitarist with strong vocals. Although i won't limit the search to guitarists - any instrument would be cool!

    The idea would be to get together - find some common musical ground and start writing. I'm not sure i have a group as a reference pt for you. It's NOT Damien Rice/Lisa Hannigan or Rodrigo y Gabriela. Here are some of my current musical influences:

    Beatles, Nirvana, Simple Kid, Nick Drake, My Chemical Romance, Franz Ferdinand, Turn, Fratellis, CSS, Klaxons, Josh Ritter, System of a Down, The Cure, Oasis, Radiohead, Manics, Maximo Park...
